About Me
As a fashion journalism student, I enjoy writing about the unconventionalities and vulnerabilities in fashion that I find not only fascinating, but inspiring. The type of inventiveness that is seen continually through art-inspired pieces and collections. I find I’m drawn to designers that have an absolute voice within their work… those unafraid of eccentricities or the avant-garde… that dare to dream and utilize their skills and muses to generate a vision evoked by that creative insight.
This blog will prominently focus on fashions inspired by artwork, and how designers have and continue to use various artistic movements, mediums, genres and themes to inspire runway collections; from Baroque to Street Art, Sculpture to Photography. Shining a light on the artistic influences not only seen in designer interpretation/recreation, but the translation back to the original artist’s vision. A site based on exhibiting how designers are constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion through fiercely motivated designs.
