This project was designed to practice envisioning and drafting a concept for a fashion photoshoot to be published by a magazine/client. I chose rising designers from NOT JUST A LABEL with a keen minimalist trend to their collections for a “spread” in i-D Magazine. I chose i-D for their original voice, innovative concepts and eccentric take on style.
CONCEPT: Within a fashion perspective, the essence of minimalism is focused on the form and material of the clothing, more so than the functionality. Minimalist designers often employ a method of reductivism, which isolates the design objective to its necessary elements, working with clean lines and geometric silhouettes.
OBJECTIVE: This shoot will focus on some of fashion’s finest upcoming minimalist designers.
