From studying fashion journalism, I enjoy writing about the unconventionality and vulnerability of fashion that I find not only fascinating, but inspiring. The type of inventiveness that is seen continually through art-inspired pieces and collections. I find Iām drawn to designers that have an absolute voice within their workā¦ those unafraid of eccentricities or the avant-gardeā¦ that dare to dream and utilize their skills and muses to generate a vision evoked by that creative insight.
At first, this blog featured a very specific theme that prominently focused on fashions inspired by artwork, and how designers have and continue to use various artistic movements, mediums, genres and themes to inspire runway collections from: Impressionism to Pop Art, Comic Books to Street Artā¦ shedding a light on the artistic influence not only seen by the designer, but how it translates back the original artist. A site exhibiting how designers are constantly pushing the boundaries of fashion through fiercely motivated designs. Fear not fellow fanatics, high fashions inspired by artwork will still be a core concept. In addition, the innately innovative and inventive design-works of the Avant-garde and Haute Couture worlds (NTM, the just plain quirky) in all fashion mediums will be featured. Those undeniably unconventional and vulnerable stylesā¦ the trailblazing mode that is not only fascinating but awe-inspiring.
