Trend Report: Early 1940’s/WWI

This trend report project is based around the fashions of the early 1940s/WWII era. More specifically, the immense, lasting impact that the war had on womenswear of the time, as well as other influential factors (Hollywood, women in the workforce, etc.) that transformed the face of ladies fashion forever. Also, highlighting an inspirational designer of note, Claire McCardell, whom pioneered with innovative and forward-thinking styles that had yet to be seen. Lastly, five trends from the era in comparison to trends that remain to be seen on catwalks today. What goes around comes around!
